A growing personal injury law firm is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Associate Attorney to join its team in Burbank, CA. The firm specializes in various types of personal injury cases including auto accidents, premises liability, wrongful death, and medical malpractice. The ideal candidate will have 1-3 years of litigation experience and a passion for providing exceptional client service. This position offers an opportunity to work closely with an experienced lead attorney while managing a caseload and participating in various stages of litigation.

Location

Duties

  • Represent clients in personal injury cases, including but not limited to auto accidents, premises liability, wrongful death, and medical malpractice.

  • Manage a heavy caseload, ensuring timely progression of cases and adherence to deadlines.

  • Draft pleadings and complaints, file lawsuits, and conduct legal research.

  • Propound and respond to discovery, prepare mediation briefs, and assist with trial preparation.

  • Take and defend depositions in person and remotely.

  • Argue motion and opposition hearings in court.

  • Strategically litigate cases by obtaining key evidence and building strong case files.

  • Negotiate and settle cases, providing clients with excellent service throughout the process.

Requirements

  • 1-3 years of litigation experience, preferably in personal injury law.

  • Ability to work under tight deadlines and manage multiple cases efficiently.

  • Strong oral and written communication skills.

  • Highly motivated to learn and grow within a collaborative team environment.

Education

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

Certifications

  • Admission to the California State Bar is required.

Skills

  • Experience in litigation, particularly personal injury cases.

  • Proficient in legal research, drafting pleadings, and preparing for trial.

  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.

  • Ability to manage a heavy caseload and work under pressure.
