Job Title: Sr. Trust Officer

Job Responsibilities:

- Administer larger and more complex accounts such as trust, investment management, agent for trustee, custody, and related accounts.
- Manage accounts involving business interests, complex family issues, litigation, estate planning, and advanced tax considerations.
- Maintain a balance between mitigating risks and meeting client needs.
- Represent and promote the company with all trust-related parties, including clients, beneficiaries, attorneys, CPAs, and other professional advisors.
- Provide leadership and guidance to Trust Officers and support staff.
- Proactively manage activities for assigned trust and investment management accounts, ensuring adherence to the terms of governing documents.
- Accurately interpret and apply provisions of governing documents in line with applicable statutes and regulations.
- Manage all tax and legal activities related to assigned accounts.
- Coordinate the receipt, valuation, review, custody, and disposition of account assets.
- Obtain, review, and maintain appropriate account documentation as per internal procedures and regulatory requirements.
- Authorize discretionary and non-discretionary payments, ensuring proper documentation is gathered.
- Participate in internal fiduciary/governance committees and project teams, such as new account acceptance and discretionary review.
- Communicate with clients, beneficiaries, care managers, attorneys, CPAs, portfolio managers, and other professionals to resolve account issues.
- Focus on cultivating relationships with clients and professional partners to encourage referral opportunities and new business.
- Represent and promote the company in civic and community groups and events to enhance reputation and expand business opportunities.

Education and Experience Information:

- Bachelor's Degree is heavily preferred, but additional experience may be considered in lieu of education.
- Certified Trust and Fiduciary Advisor (CTFA) or JD is preferred.
- Minimum of 10 years of technical experience and 3 years of leadership experience.
- Extensive knowledge of personal trust administration with over 10 years of experience.
- Ability to analyze and interpret legal, investment, and tax documents, working effectively with internal and external advisors.
- Effective interpersonal relationship and communication skills.
- Knowledge of fiduciary and individual income tax laws.
- Understanding of gift, estate, and generation-skipping transfer tax laws and concepts, with the ability to evaluate estate planning documents.
- Ability to communicate with individuals from various socio-economic and educational backgrounds.
- Excellent mediation skills.
- Proactive approach to problem-solving with the ability to identify and act on potential liability issues.
- Strong computer skills, including the use of specialized trust administration software.
- Ability to grow the client base and generate revenue.

Salary Information:

- Salary range is $110,000-165,000 annually.
- Final compensation will be determined by work experience, education, and skill level, along with internal equity and alignment with geographic market data.
