Job Title:
2027 State and Local Tax (SALT) Entry Level Staff

Job Responsibilities:
As a SALT Entry Level Staff member, your role will involve a range of responsibilities aimed at ensuring the financial health and compliance of various organizations. Key duties include:

- Providing tax consulting services specific to state and local taxes, which encompass income, franchise, sales and use, gross receipts, and personal property taxes.
- Preparing state and local income and franchise tax returns.
- Writing internal and external tax alerts about current tax developments and emerging planning techniques.
- Conducting research on complex tax issues and composing technical memoranda.
- Developing meaningful interactions with staff at all levels and with the company's diverse clientele.
- Deepening knowledge in both state and local tax as well as federal tax.

Education and Experience Information:
Candidates are expected to be detail-oriented leaders with strong problem-solving, communication, and analytical skills. The educational qualifications required are:

- A Bachelor’s degree with an emphasis in accounting, or a Master’s degree in accounting or tax.
- Academic success with a minimum cumulative GPA of .
- The candidate must be pursuing a LLM, JD, or CPA license.

This position is exempt and may require some local, national, and occasional international travel.

Salary Information:
Compensation for this position is commensurate with technical skills and experience and complies with applicable state requirements. The salary information provided is specific to positions located in Colorado and Illinois:

- Colorado monthly base range: $6,
- Illinois monthly base range: $6,
