Job Responsibilities:
- Develop leadership capabilities and networking skills by spearheading outreach projects.
- Assist congressional staff with various office responsibilities.
- Gain in-depth knowledge of the decision-making process in local government.
- Complete research assignments, preparing policy and event reports.
- Answer phones and run errands as needed.
- Research legislation for the Member and legislative staff.
- Accompany staff to meetings and answer constituent letters on various issues before the House.
- Learn about the legislative process and the functions of a District congressional office.

Education and Experience Information:
