Job Title: Experienced Tax and Trust Planning Attorney

Job Responsibilities:

Client-Facing Planning
- Lead clients through customized estate and tax planning strategies, including advanced trusts, gifting strategies, and wealth transfer techniques.
- Prepare and review a wide range of estate planning documents, including revocable and irrevocable trusts, wills, powers of attorney, and tax-focused instruments.
- Translate complex tax and legal concepts into clear, client-friendly guidance.

Legal Oversight and Case Management
- Oversee the legal quality and forward momentum of estate planning matters, ensuring technical accuracy, policy alignment, and timely progression.
- Provide supervision and mentorship to associate attorneys and paralegals when appropriate.
- Ensure all planning solutions are compliant with current federal and state tax laws, and proactively identify updates needed to client plans.

Collaboration & Research
- Work closely with the law firm’s founders and legal team to maintain workflow efficiency and case excellence.
- Conduct or oversee legal research in areas such as estate tax, gift tax, and asset preservation.
- Contribute to internal development of best practices and planning templates.

Education and Experience Information:

- . from an ABA-accredited law school.
- Active license to practice in Washington (required); Oregon licensure is a bonus.
- Deep understanding of estate tax planning, and LLCs.
- Excellent drafting, research, and communication skills.
- High emotional intelligence, especially when supporting aging or grieving clients.
- Tech-savvy and comfortable working in a modern, paper-lite environment.

Salary Information:

- $125,000 yearly to start, depending upon experience.
