The ideal candidate will manage a variety of business disputes, including contract breaches and shareholder matters, throughout all litigation phases, ensuring strategic advocacy and compliance with California civil procedure.

Duties

• Draft and file pleadings, motions, discovery requests, and case management statements
• Conduct legal research and prepare briefs on commercial disputes, contractual issues, and corporate governance matters
• Represent clients in depositions, hearings, mediations, and settlement negotiations
• Coordinate with senior attorneys, expert witnesses, and outside counsel to develop case strategies
• Manage case calendars, critical deadlines, and document production in e-discovery platforms
• Assist in trial preparation, including exhibit organization, witness preparation, and trial binders
• Monitor developments in relevant statutes, case law, and procedural rules

Requirements

• 2 years of experience in commercial litigation or related practice areas
• Active membership in the California State Bar, in good standing
• Demonstrated proficiency in drafting litigation documents and conducting legal research
• Strong organizational skills with attention to procedural deadlines and case management
• Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and external counsel

Education

• Juris Doctor (.) from an ABA-accredited law school

Certifications

• Admission to the California State Bar (required)

• Solid understanding of California Code of Civil Procedure and Federal Rules of Civil Procedure
