Job Title: Tax Manager
Job Responsibilities:
- Review individual, trust, partnership, and corporate tax returns prepared by tax staff and/or seniors for accuracy.
- Research and draft memoranda involving complex tax matters.
- Identify and implement tax planning opportunities.
- Handle and resolve tax controversies.
- Oversee complete tax research projects for a variety of clients and diverse industries.
- Manage multiple engagements concurrently with various teams to efficiently meet client deadlines.
- Conduct constructive discussions with team members on their evaluations and provide counsel accordingly.
- Serve in professional development programs as an instructor or discussion leader.
Education and Experience Information:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting.
- CPA license, JD, or Masters of Science in Taxation is required.
- At least 5 years of prior experience working in the tax department of a public accounting firm, with experience leading multiple engagements and supervising staff.
- Excellent analytical and technical tax skills.
- Exceptional client service and communication skills with a demonstrated ability to develop and maintain outstanding client relationships.
- Ability to manage multiple engagements and competing projects in a rapidly growing, fast-paced, interactive, results-based team environment.
- Strong leadership, training, and mentoring skills, coupled with excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills to represent the company well to client’s management.
- Excellent analytical, organizational, project management skills, and strong attention to detail.
- Ability to travel as needed.
Salary Information:
- The compensation for this position ranges from $120,000 to $200,000.
- In addition to the base compensation, the company offers a competitive benefits package and bonus program (for eligible roles) based on individual and firm performance.
