A law firm seeks a Litigation Associate Attorney in Raleigh, NC to support its creditors’ rights, foreclosure, consumer finance, and bankruptcy litigation practice.

Duties

  • Manage foreclosure and consumer finance litigation matters from intake through resolution.

  • Assist with bankruptcy disputes, including drafting pleadings and motions.

  • Prepare and argue motions, conduct hearings, and defend depositions in state, federal, and bankruptcy courts.

  • Negotiate on behalf of creditors and draft status reports and settlement agreements.

Requirements

  • 2–4 years of litigation experience in creditors’ rights, consumer finance, and bankruptcy matters.

  • Active North Carolina Bar admission in good standing.

  • Admission to North Carolina federal district and bankruptcy courts.

  • Strong legal analysis, research, and drafting skills.

  • Demonstrated courtroom presence and effective negotiation abilities.

  • Self-motivated with aptitude for practice development and collaboration in an office environment.

Education

  • Juris Doctor from an accredited law school.

Certifications

  • Licensed to practice in North Carolina.

  • Admitted to . District Courts and Bankruptcy Court for the Eastern District of North Carolina.

Skills

  • Proficient in drafting motions, pleadings, and memoranda.

  • Skilled in deposition examination and defense.

  • Excellent oral advocacy and client communication.

  • Strong organizational and case-management capabilities.
