A law firm seeks a Litigation Associate Attorney in Raleigh, NC to support its creditors’ rights, foreclosure, consumer finance, and bankruptcy litigation practice.
Duties
Manage foreclosure and consumer finance litigation matters from intake through resolution.
Assist with bankruptcy disputes, including drafting pleadings and motions.
Prepare and argue motions, conduct hearings, and defend depositions in state, federal, and bankruptcy courts.
Negotiate on behalf of creditors and draft status reports and settlement agreements.
Requirements
2–4 years of litigation experience in creditors’ rights, consumer finance, and bankruptcy matters.
Active North Carolina Bar admission in good standing.
Admission to North Carolina federal district and bankruptcy courts.
Strong legal analysis, research, and drafting skills.
Demonstrated courtroom presence and effective negotiation abilities.
Self-motivated with aptitude for practice development and collaboration in an office environment.
Education
Juris Doctor from an accredited law school.
Certifications
Licensed to practice in North Carolina.
Admitted to . District Courts and Bankruptcy Court for the Eastern District of North Carolina.
Skills
Proficient in drafting motions, pleadings, and memoranda.
Skilled in deposition examination and defense.
Excellent oral advocacy and client communication.
Strong organizational and case-management capabilities.
