A reputable civil litigation law firm is seeking an Associate Attorney with 2–4 years of experience to join its practice, focusing on insurance defense, medical malpractice, and labor and employment law. The role offers hands-on litigation experience in a fast-paced legal environment and the opportunity to work alongside experienced partners on a diverse caseload. Candidates with additional experience in toxic tort, environmental, or administrative law will be strongly considered.
St. Louis, Missouri
Represent clients in insurance defense, medical malpractice, and employment-related matters
Draft pleadings, motions, discovery, and legal correspondence
Conduct legal research and prepare memoranda
Participate in depositions, hearings, and case strategy meetings
Collaborate with multiple partners and legal staff on complex litigation matters
Manage assigned caseload from inception through resolution under supervision
2–4 years of civil litigation experience
Background in insurance defense, medical malpractice, or labor and employment law
Experience in toxic tort, environmental, or administrative law is a plus
Highly motivated and capable of managing multiple responsibilities in a dynamic environment
Excellent legal writing, research, and oral advocacy skills
Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school
Licensed to practice law in Missouri (required)
Eligible for licensure in Illinois (required)
Strong legal research and drafting proficiency
Effective communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to collaborate across practice groups and with senior attorneys
Highly organized with excellent time management and multitasking abilities
Strong attention to detail and a commitment to high-quality work
