Location:

Duties:

  • Represent employers, insurers, and corporate clients in litigation and administrative proceedings

  • Appear before state courts and administrative tribunals (., WCAB)

  • Conduct depositions, hearings, and settlement conferences

  • Draft and respond to pleadings, motions, and discovery requests

  • Develop litigation strategies in collaboration with clients and internal teams

  • Perform legal research to support case positions and filings

  • Maintain and manage accurate case files and documentation

  • Provide legal advice and updates to clients throughout the litigation process

  • Negotiate settlements when appropriate

Requirements:

  • Experience in workers’ compensation, civil litigation, or employment law

  • Prior handling of contested matters from inception through resolution

  • Familiarity with WCAB procedures or administrative hearings preferred

  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple deadlines and a full caseload

  • Strong litigation and negotiation skills

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school

Certifications:

  • Active license to practice law in the state of California

  • In good standing with the California State Bar

Skills:

  • Proficient in legal drafting and document review

  • Strong legal research and analytical skills

  • Effective oral and written communication

  • Knowledge of personal injury, environmental, and family law is a plus

  • Skilled in using legal research platforms (., Lexis-Nexis)

  • Highly organized and detail-oriented

  • Capable of working independently or in a team setting
