Location:
Duties:
- Draft, analyze, and revise estate planning documents, including wills, various trusts, and ancillary documents.
- Conduct research on probate, tax laws, advanced planning, and trust techniques.
- Explain complex legal concepts and estate plan provisions clearly to clients.
- Build and maintain strong client relationships, understanding and addressing their estate planning needs.
- Represent clients in the Probate division of the California Civil Court and related civil matters.
- Demonstrate the ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team-oriented environment.
Requirements:
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in estate planning.
- Demonstrable analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proficient in written and verbal communication.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and within a team.
Education:
- Juris Doctor (.) degree from an accredited law school.
Certifications:
- Active membership in the California State Bar.
- Additional licenses in Nevada, Wyoming, Arizona, Texas, or Florida are advantageous.
Skills:
- Expertise in estate planning, trust administration, and probate administration.
- Strong client relationship-building skills.
- Proficient in legal research and use of estate planning software tools.
- Familiarity with WestLaw, CEB OnLaw, and WealthCounsel is beneficial.
