Job Title: Compliance Privacy Advisor, Sr. Manager
Job Responsibilities:
The Compliance Privacy Advisor, Sr. Manager at the company is tasked with performing critical privacy compliance activities as part of the second line of defense in managing privacy risk. Key responsibilities include:
- Monitoring privacy trends nationwide, including new laws and emerging risks.
- Maintaining expertise in privacy laws and regulations such as TCPA, TSR, CAN-SPAM, GLBA, FCRA, FACTA, FFIEC guidance, CCPA, and GDPR.
- Advising and challenging business lines on privacy risks and supporting them through various engagements.
- Collaborating with department members and other subject matter experts.
- Providing guidance on privacy requirements, controls, monitoring, and remediation of compliance issues.
- Participating in complex projects and reporting activities for senior leadership.
- Traveling to various company locations as necessary.
Education and Experience Information:
The position requires a strong educational and experiential background in privacy and compliance management:
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or military experience.
- At least 7 years of experience in privacy, compliance, risk management, legal, or audit.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Juris Doctor or Master’s degree.
- Over 8 years of experience in privacy, compliance, risk management, legal, or audit at a financial institution.
- More than 3 years in strategic consulting and initiative management.
- At least 3 years of people management experience.
- Certifications such as Certified Information Privacy Professional (CIPP), Certified Risk Professional (CRP), or Certified Regulatory Compliance Manager (CRCM).
Salary Information:
The role offers a competitive salary structure that varies by location:
- McLean, VA: $170,800 - $194,900
- New York, NY: $186,300 - $212,700
- Richmond, VA: $155,300 - $177,200
Candidates employed in locations other than those specified will receive pay according to the local range, and the exact salary will be detailed in the offer letter. The position is also eligible for performance-based incentives, including cash bonuses and long-term incentives, which may vary based on the plan.
