Job Title: Intake and Brief Service Intern (Fall 2025)
Job Responsibilities:
The Intake and Brief Service Intern at the organization is tasked with supporting the organization's mission to provide high-quality legal services to children and families. The intern will engage in various activities including speaking with community members, developing community resources, and conducting research. They will assist in developing a resource bank and perform other tasks to support the intake and brief services team and community members. The intern will work on cases related to housing, special education, guardianship, and public benefits. Responsibilities also include participating in intakes, which involve client-centered, timely, fair, respectful, and compassionate interactions. Interns may also assist the Special Legal Projects team, which focuses on systemic change through impact litigation and partnerships.
Education and Experience Information:
The internship is designed for current law students or recent law school graduates. While the position is unpaid, it can be taken for credit or practicum hours, requiring a minimum commitment of 15 hours per week. Candidates should have experience working with under-resourced communities and be proficient in Microsoft Office, including Excel. Experience with interviewing or conducting intakes is preferred, and Spanish fluency is advantageous but not required.

The internship positions are unpaid.
