Job Responsibilities
- Lead large projects and innovate processes to ensure operational excellence.
- Maintain operational excellence in every task and ensure high-quality deliverables.
- Interact with clients at a senior level to drive project success and foster strong client relationships.
- Perform state and local tax return reviews to ensure compliance with tax laws and regulations.
- Fulfill compliance tasks effectively, minimizing risks of non-compliance.
- Coordinate with other departments within the company to prepare, review, and analyze reports necessary for tax returns.
- Analyze financial reports and data to support tax return preparation.
- Communicate effectively with team members and clients to secure overall success.
- Direct the team through complex and ambiguous situations, maintaining composure and providing clear guidance.
- Make difficult decisions and take action to resolve issues hindering team effectiveness.
- Model and reinforce professional and technical standards, including company tax and audit guidance, code of conduct, and independence requirements.
Education and Experience Information
- Bachelor's Degree is required.
- A minimum of 6 years of experience in a relevant field is needed.
- A Master's Degree in Accounting or Finance is preferred.
- Professional certifications such as CPA, EA, or Member of the Bar are preferred.
- Experience in performing state and local tax return reviews.
- Experience in monitoring tax compliance requirements and conducting tax research to solve complex issues.
- Proficiency in working with financial statements and journal entries.
- Understanding of financial systems and business processes.
- Experience in coordinating with other departments for tax preparation.
- Ability to innovate through new and existing technologies.
Salary Information
The salary range for the position of Partnership Tax SALT Senior Manager is $89,000 - $315,000. Individuals may also be eligible for an annual discretionary bonus. The actual compensation within the range will depend on the individual's skills, experience, qualifications, location, and applicable employment laws. The position offers a wide range of benefits, including medical, dental, vision, 401k, holiday pay, vacation, personal and family sick leave, and more.
