Job Title: Sales Operations Analyst 5
Job Responsibilities:
The primary responsibility of the Sales Operations Analyst 5 is to serve as a Complex Contract Negotiator. This role involves negotiating and managing high-value professional services and managed applications services contracts. Key responsibilities include:
- Negotiation and Drafting of Software Agreements: Engage with customers to construct terms favorable to both the company and client. Draft nonstandard contract terms for complex contracts such as Professional Services Contracts, Cloud Service Agreements, and Partnership and Reseller Agreements. This includes negotiating terms related to subscription models, service-level agreements (SLAs), data privacy, and uptime guarantees.
- Financial Selling and Positioning: Collaborate with the sales team to review competitors, evaluate competitive price ranges, and determine target win prices. Assist in gathering information for Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) and Return on Investment (ROI) analysis. Prepare TCO/ROI analysis as needed and assist the sales team with pricing positioning.
- Complex Pricing: Obtain the Bill of Materials from the Solution Manager and calculate solution prices. Review pricing elements such as labor, hardware, governance, supplement services, and adjustments to contingency and inflation to achieve target prices.
- Risk Management: Assess and manage risks associated with contracts, including financial, operational, and legal risks. Advise stakeholders on potential risks and suggest modifications to protect the organization's interests.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work with internal teams like Sales, Product Management, Solution Architect, and Delivery to ensure contractual terms align with product offerings, pricing models, and strategic objectives.
- Contract Management: Oversee and manage the contract lifecycle from initial drafting to negotiation and final execution in collaboration with the sales team.
- Internal Guidance: Provide guidance to sales teams on understanding contract terms, including commercial, legal, and compliance considerations.
Education and Experience Information:
- A Bachelor’s degree in Business, Law, Computer Science, or a related field is required.
- Preferred qualifications include a Juris Doctor (JD) or an advanced degree in Business (MBA) or Contract Management.
- Certifications such as Certified Commercial Contracts Manager (CCCM), Certified Information Privacy Professional (CIPP), and Certified Professional Contracts Manager (CPCM) are advantageous.
- Candidates should have over 5 years of experience in negotiating and drafting complex technology agreements, preferably within the software, SaaS, or tech industries.
- Advanced knowledge of contract law, particularly related to software and technology contracts, is essential.
- Proven experience with licensing, SaaS agreements, software development contracts, and IP protection is required.
- Familiarity with cloud computing, enterprise software deployment, and privacy regulations (GDPR, CCPA) is needed.
- Strong understanding of data privacy and security regulations (GDPR, CCPA, HIPAA, etc.) as they relate to SaaS and software.
Salary Information:
- The hiring range in the United States is from $97,500 to $199,500 per annum.
- The position may be eligible for bonuses and equity.

- Candidates are typically placed into the range based on the preceding factors as well as internal peer equity.
