Job Responsibilities:
The 2026 2L Seattle Summer Associate at the law firm is designed to offer law students a comprehensive experience of working in a legal environment. Responsibilities include:
- Drafting motions and contracts
- Assisting with pro bono matters
- Preparing for and attending client meetings, depositions, negotiations, and trials
- Receiving legal and skills training from practice and industry groups
- Participating in mentorship programs tailored to individual goals and interests
- Engaging with colleagues through affinity groups and events such as the Summer Associate retreat
Education and Experience Information:
Candidates for the 2L Summer Associate positions must be law students who demonstrate the following attributes:

- Excellence in written and oral communication, research, and analysis
- Prioritization of collaboration, effective use of time, and professional responsibility
- Creativity and unique ideas in their work
- A commitment to fostering a diverse, equitable, and inclusive legal profession

Salary Information:
The weekly salary for the Summer Associate position in Washington is $3,942. Additionally, Summer Associates are eligible to accrue sick leave in accordance with the law firm's Sick & Safe Leave policy. Those working in the Seattle office can receive an ORCA card for unlimited rides on regular bus routes, regional rail, and water taxi at a cost of $25 per month pretax, with the option to add a ferry pass for $50 per month.
