Trial Attorney IV - Representing Medical Professionals in Malpractice Lawsuits

Salary: Dependent on experience
Job Title: Trial Attorney IV
Experience: Minimum 8 years in medical malpractice litigation

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

- Lead trial and arbitration attorney for medical malpractice lawsuits for CAP physicians, hospitals, and entities
- Develop effective discovery and investigation strategies
- Obtain approval for defense preparation and ensure cost-effective completion
- Prepare pleadings and respond to discovery
- Attend court appearances as required
- Ensure compliance with Defense Attorney Guidelines
- Provide timely updates to claims and clients throughout litigation process
- Responsible for cybersecurity awareness and training for all employees

Client Relations

- Prioritize client service and satisfaction
- Excel in difficult situations while maintaining composure
- Seek feedback to maintain positive relationships with clients
- Address and resolve client complaints

Education and/or Experience:

- . Degree
- Minimum 8 years medical malpractice litigation experience

Other Skills and Abilities

- Licensed to practice law in California
- Ability to lead and motivate team members
- Mentor and train staff counsel
- Second chair in trials and arbitrations, and lead counsel when appropriate
- Work independently
