Job Title: Senior Manager, International Tax
Job Responsibilities:
- Direct multinational enterprises on critical business decisions including where to locate operations, choice of entity, and optimizing supply chains.
- Advise on accessing and mobilizing capital for global operations while considering tax risk profiles, global effective tax rates, and cash posture.
- Prepare and review complex tax models for multinational entities, illustrating attributes such as effective tax rate and cash tax expense.
- Guide multinational enterprises on tax planning decisions, helping them anticipate short and long-term considerations and consequences at a global level.
- Collaborate with Mergers & Acquisition Tax colleagues to structure tax aspects of multinational private equity and strategic mergers, acquisitions, joint ventures, dispositions, and IPOs.
- Draft tax opinions, memos, structure decks, and Excel models illustrating tax benefits of alternative structures.
- Assist multinational enterprises in preparing tax provisions for financial statements and compliance work product.
- Advise KPMG audit teams on financial reporting of tax implications arising from global operations and transactions.
- Provide guidance on income tax treaty planning opportunities arising from cross-border investing and trading activities.
- Offer specialized advisory services to alternative investment companies, supporting asset managers and portfolio companies globally.
Education and Experience Information:
- Minimum eight years of recent experience in international, mergers and acquisitions, and/or federal tax planning engagements.
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college/university.
- Licensed CPA, EA, JD/LLM, or foreign equivalent, with a requirement to obtain one of the approved designations/credentials within one year of hire if not already possessed.
- Knowledge of a broad range of international and domestic tax law provisions.
- Strong research and writing skills, Excel modeling, and oral communication proficiency.
- Ability to balance and lead multiple engagements and supervise the development and training of staff professionals.
- Capable of developing and deepening client relationships and expanding the company's footprint in local and global markets.
Salary Information:
- KPMG complies with local/state regulations regarding salary ranges. Specific ranges are displayed for potential hires based on relevant factors such as skills, job responsibilities, prior experience, degrees, and certifications.
- The California salary range is $159,100 - $300,400.
