Job Title: Commercial Litigation Associate
Job Responsibilities:
- Conduct factual investigations and discovery for complex commercial litigation cases.
- Prepare legal pleadings, participate in depositions, and engage in motions practice.
- Handle settlement negotiations and maintain effective communication with clients.
- Participate in both state and federal court proceedings, with a preference for experience in administrative matters and arbitrations.
- Assist as a second-chair in trials or arbitrations, though this is not a mandatory requirement.
- Experience in handling cases related to transportation, supply chain, and cargo issues is preferred but not essential.
Education and Experience Information:
- The candidate should have two to four years of experience in commercial litigation.
- An active Arizona bar license is required.
- Familiarity with all phases of complex commercial litigation is preferred.
- Experience in state and federal court is preferred.
- Second-chair experience at trial or arbitration is preferred but not required.
- Candidates should have excellent academic credentials.
- The candidate should demonstrate superior interpersonal skills and the ability to work well under pressure.
- A demonstrated record of community commitment and exceptional judgment is desirable.
- The ability to handle multiple projects effectively and articulate legal strategies is important.
