Job Title: Senior Contract Manager
Job Responsibilities:
The Senior Contract Manager at the company is responsible for managing the entire procurement contract lifecycle, which includes drafting, reviewing, negotiating, and advising on contracts for the purchase of goods and services across the enterprise. The role requires serving as a subject matter expert on contractual terms and maintaining the company's contracting standards and processes. The Senior Contract Manager acts as a liaison between business units with procurement needs and corporate functions aimed at risk reduction. Key responsibilities include:
- Drafting, reviewing, negotiating, and advising on supplier contracts for various procurement categories, including schedules for goods and services, statements of work, non-disclosure agreements, master business or service agreements, software license agreements, cloud services agreements, appliance agreements, business associate agreements, and information security agreements.
- Providing strategic oversight, risk management, compliance, and performance optimization in contract negotiations.
- Advising business partners and stakeholders on contractual risks and mitigation strategies during negotiations and before contract execution.
- Liaising with departments such as Legal, Risk Management, Internal Audit, and Business Partner Compliance to mitigate contractual risks.
- Educating associates on contracting tools and processes.
- Participating in and leading working groups to improve contract templates and processes.
- Undertaking contract research and review projects as needed.
- Making decisions on moderately complex to complex issues regarding the technical approach for project components, working independently without direction.
Education and Experience Information:
- Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree.
- 5-7 years of experience negotiating procurement commercial terms and conditions.
- Expertise in contract redlining etiquette to facilitate contract negotiations.
- Strong knowledge of procurement practices and techniques.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication, time management, and interpersonal skills.
- Willingness to train and educate team members on new processes, policies, and procedures or technologies aimed at improving the company's contract negotiation process and reducing closing times.
- Ability to positively influence stakeholders and improve business dynamics within Procurement and across the company through excellent emotional intelligence.
- Preferred Qualifications:
- Juris Doctor from an accredited university.
- Significant experience in negotiating technology contracts for software, cloud services, performance standards, IT consulting, IT services, and technology labor outsourcing.
- Experience with Salesforce CRM and/or contract lifecycle management software.
Salary Information:
The compensation range for the Senior Contract Manager position is estimated to be between $86,300 and $118,700 per year for full-time employment (40 hours per week). The salary may vary based on geographic location and individual qualifications, including skills, experience, education, and certifications. This role is also eligible for a bonus incentive plan based on company and/or individual performance.
Additional Information:
- This is a remote position, but candidates must be willing to work within Eastern Standard Time zone hours.
- Occasional travel to the company's offices for training or meetings may be required.
