Job Overview:
A respected law firm based in Aurora, CO, is seeking an experienced Litigation Associate to join its dynamic trial team. This role is designed for a motivated legal professional who thrives in a high-energy environment and has hands-on experience handling personal injury litigation. From early-stage pleadings through courtroom trial, the attorney will manage a portfolio of active cases with the support of a dedicated litigation paralegal.

Duties:

  • Manage a docket of approximately 30 active litigation matters involving personal injury claims

  • Lead all stages of civil litigation, including drafting pleadings, motions, and discovery responses

  • Conduct and defend depositions, including clients, experts, and fact witnesses

  • Develop case strategy, attend court hearings, and take cases through jury trials

  • Collaborate closely with an assigned paralegal and oversee their workflow

  • Communicate effectively with clients, opposing counsel, and court staff

  • Maintain accurate documentation and adhere to case deadlines and procedures

  • Contribute to team-based legal strategy discussions and firm-wide case reviews

Requirements:

  • Active license to practice law in the State of Colorado

  • 4 to 9 years of litigation experience, preferably in plaintiff-side personal injury

  • In-depth understanding of the Colorado Rules of Civil Procedure

  • Demonstrated ability to independently manage litigation caseloads

  • Courtroom experience, including trial advocacy, strongly preferred

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (.) from an ABA-accredited law school

Certifications:

  • Admission to the Colorado Bar in good standing

Skills:

  • High attention to detail and organizational skills

  • Ability to multitask and prioritize competing case demands

  • Strong legal writing and oral advocacy skills

  • Excellent interpersonal communication and client management abilities

  • Dependability in meeting tight deadlines and litigation milestones

  • Commitment to ethical legal practice and client service
