Job Title: Tax Manager - Financial Services Organization - Tax Technology & Transformation

Job Responsibilities:
As a Tax Manager within the Financial Services Organization (FSO) at the company, you will play a pivotal role in assisting financial services clients to navigate and address various operational challenges related to their tax functions. Your responsibilities will include:

- Identifying ways to enhance operational effectiveness in tax functions.
- Reviewing existing processes and controls, especially those pertaining to technology, to ensure efficiency and effectiveness.
- Evaluating the effectiveness of various technology systems used by tax clients to increase automation and improve data quality throughout tax processes.
- Assessing overall risks to establish a robust control environment.
- Designing and building custom tax applications tailored to client needs.
- Working closely with leadership to manage and execute impactful projects.
- Managing the quality of deliverables from offshore teams to ensure they meet time, cost, and quality requirements.
- Documenting technical and business requirements, including identifying and prioritizing issues.
- Developing and fostering meaningful and influential relationships with clients and colleagues.

Education and Experience Information:
To qualify for this role, candidates must have:

- A bachelor's degree with approximately 5 years of relevant work experience, or a master's degree with approximately 4 years of relevant work experience.
- Exposure to the financial services industry, accounting/finance/tax, tax or finance performance improvement, tax software development, and/or implementation.
- Relevant certifications such as CPA, JD, Six Sigma Green/Black Belt, and/or Project Management Professional (PMP) or the ability to obtain one of these certifications within 1 year of joining the company.

Ideally, candidates will also possess:

- Knowledge in implementing tax technology solutions such as CorpTax, ONESOURCE, Sabrix, Vertex, SharePoint, PFI, and RPA software.
- Experience embedding tax requirements into financial/business systems and processes, including Oracle, SAP, Hyperion, PAM, and Investran.
- Skills in developing and implementing custom applications using tools like Visual Studio, VBA/VSTO, SQL Server, and the MS PowerBI Suite.

Salary Information:
The company offers a competitive salary for this position. The base salary range for this job across all geographic locations in the US is $127,100 to $233,000. For the New York City Metro Area, Washington State, and California (excluding Sacramento), the base salary range is $152,500 to $264,800. Individual salaries within these ranges are determined by a variety of factors, including education, experience, knowledge, skills, and geography.
