Job Title: Counsel, Sales Tax

Job Responsibilities:
- Support all aspects of indirect tax controversy matters in the United States and Canada, including managing audits, appeals, and litigation.
- Conduct legal research and analysis, draft legal memoranda, and briefs.
- Provide insight into audit approach and enhance audit-readiness through validation and improvement of information and processes.
- Strategically partner with stakeholders, including Tax, Trade, Legal, Policy, Finance/Accounting, and IT, to assess audit risk, correct compliance gaps, and establish/update company tax positions.
- Support the business from an advisory perspective with respect to policy initiatives, legislative and regulatory developments, incentive opportunities, etc.

Education and Experience Information:
- 3+ years of indirect tax experience with a law firm, accounting firm, or corporate tax/legal department.
- CPA or . and admission to at least one state.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Self-starter who can organize, prioritize, and manage urgent and competing deadlines in a fast-paced and demanding work environment.
- Friendly and respectful individual who can build and maintain strong working relationships both internally and externally.
- Microsoft Excel skills a must, with preference for those with advanced data wrangling skills using Alteryx, Tableau, Knime, Power BI, etc.

Salary Information:
- Expected Compensation: $172,000 - $282,000/annual salary + cash and stock awards + benefits.
- Pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements dependent on the position offered.
