Specialized Tax Services - Accounting Methods Senior Manager
The candidate will provide advice and guidance to clients on tax planning, compliance, and strategy. Provide tax advice and solutions to clients in complex and niche areas of taxation. This includes areas such as accounting methods, fixed-assets and research and development tax credits. Craft and convey clear, impactful and engaging messages that tell a holistic story. Apply systems thinking to identify underlying problems and/or opportunities. Validate outcomes with clients, share alternative perspectives, and act on client feedback. Direct the team through complexity, demonstrating composure through ambiguous, challenging and uncertain situations. Deepen and evolve expertise with a focus on staying relevant. Initiate open and honest coaching conversations at all levels. Make difficult decisions and take action to resolve issues hindering team effectiveness. Model and reinforce professional and technical standards (. refer to specific tax and audit guidance), the Firm's code of conduct, and independence requirements. Lead large projects, innovate processes, and maintain operational excellence while interacting with clients at a senior level to drive project success. Leverage specialized knowledge and technical acumen of industry-leading business trends, the firm's client service offerings, and professional industry networks to deliver quality results to clients and provide strategic input into the firm's business strategies. Manage large-scale projects and confirm their successful execution. Innovate and enhance processes to improve efficiency. Maintain exceptional operational standards. Engage with clients at a senior level to confirm project success. Build trust with diverse teams and stakeholders through transparent communication. Motivate and coach teams to address complex challenges. Utilize advanced technical knowledge and industry insights. Drive results by leveraging the firm's broad service offerings. Identify and address client needs. Build and utilize networks of client relationships. Manage resource requirements and project workflow. Supervise teams to create an atmosphere of trust. Develop new relationships and sell new services. Should have a Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Taxation. CPA, membership of the Bar or other tax, technology, or finance-specific credentials may qualify for this opportunity. Must have 5 years of experience. Specialized knowledge of accounting methods studies is preferred. Experience with FAS 109 and compliance is desired. Technical skills in tax analyzes of timing of income are an asset. Familiarity with a CRM system is a plus.
