Partnership Tax SALT Senior Manager
Job Responsibilities
- Lead large projects and innovate processes to maintain operational excellence.
- Perform state and local tax return reviews and finalize compliance tasks efficiently.
- Interact with clients at a senior level to ensure project success and foster client relationships.
- Coordinate with other departments within the company to prepare, review, and analyze reports necessary for the preparation of the company's tax returns.
- Communicate effectively to secure overall success in project delivery and client satisfaction.
- Fulfill compliance tasks effectively, ensuring adherence to tax laws and regulations.
- Analyze reports for tax return preparation, ensuring accuracy and compliance with relevant regulations.
- Direct the team through complexity, demonstrating composure through ambiguous, challenging, and uncertain situations.
- Validate outcomes with clients, share alternative perspectives, and act on client feedback.
- Craft and convey clear, impactful, and engaging messages that tell a holistic story.
- Apply systems thinking to identify underlying problems and/or opportunities.
- Initiate open and honest coaching conversations at all levels.
- Model and reinforce professional and technical standards, the company's code of conduct, and independence requirements.
Education and Experience Information
- A Bachelor's Degree is required.
- A minimum of 6 years of experience is essential.
- A Master's Degree in Accounting or Finance is preferred.
- CPA, EA, or Member of the Bar is preferred.
- Experience in performing state and local tax return reviews.
- Proficiency in monitoring tax compliance requirements.
- Ability to conduct tax research and solve complex issues.
- Experience working with financial statements and journal entries.
- Understanding of financial systems and business processes.
- Ability to coordinate with other departments for tax preparation.
- Innovating through new and existing technologies.
Salary Information
The salary range for this position is $89,000 - $315,000. Individuals may also be eligible for an annual discretionary bonus. For roles based in Maryland, this is the listed salary range for the position. Actual compensation within the range will depend on the individual's skills, experience, qualifications, and location, in accordance with applicable employment laws.
