As a Compliance Specialist assigned to Healthcare, your responsibilities will include collaborating closely with private healthcare client service teams to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements. You will support strategic and operational initiatives by monitoring the lifecycle of engagements, which involves reviewing project plans, interim client materials, and final client deliverables to ensure they align with federal laws and regulations. Additionally, you will monitor compliance with contractual terms, guardrails, documentation retention requirements, and any remediation plans.

Your role will also involve supporting the synthesis of data into insights, which will be incorporated into regular reporting for both internal and external audiences on Ethics & Compliance matters. You will contribute to the development and maintenance of policies, procedures, and practices to identify, manage, and report on Ethics & Compliance risks associated with client service within the Healthcare practice. This includes requirements linked to federal healthcare program requirements, relevant healthcare regulations, and professional standards applicable to private healthcare client projects.

Furthermore, you will provide content-based support on Ethics & Compliance-related training and communications for client service teams within the Healthcare practice. This involves collecting data and building reports on adherence to training and other requirements by client service teams. Collaboration is a key aspect of this role, as you will work with healthcare client service teams and a senior stakeholder group from other functions such as Legal and Client Service Risk.

Education and Experience Information:
The position requires a minimum of 3+ years of experience in the healthcare industry, including sectors such as health insurance or healthcare providers. A background in risk and/or regulatory compliance is preferred. A Bachelor's degree is required, and advanced degrees or applicable professional certifications, such as a Juris Doctor or CPA, are preferred.

Candidates should possess a working knowledge of US federal and state healthcare laws and regulations. The ability to engage audiences and create clear, logical, and structured communications across all formats, with fluent English proficiency, is essential. Strong influencing capabilities are required, including the willingness to push back and deliver tough messages to senior audiences, the ability to raise issues, generate solutions, and work effectively under pressure. The candidate should be adept at engaging with all types of internal audiences to cultivate trust-based relationships and become a sought-after thought partner.

Salary Information:
The salary for this position is competitive and based on location, experience, and skills. Additionally, the company offers a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, mental health, and vision coverage for the employee, their spouse/partner, and children.

The Compliance Specialist will report to the Director of Healthcare Compliance as part of the Ethics & Compliance Client and Regulatory Compliance team. This role is integral to sustaining and evolving the Ethics & Compliance program and upholding the company's commitment to integrity and lawful practices. The Ethics & Compliance function is a globally integrated team within the second line of defense of the company, ensuring that misconduct is not tolerated and that policies, procedures, training, monitoring, and consequence management are well-integrated into the company's operations and workforce.
