Job Overview:

A distinguished law firm with office in Los Angeles is seeking a talented Mid-Level Associate to join its Managed Care Litigation team, part of the broader Global Commercial Disputes Practice. This role is ideal for a litigator with 3–5 years of experience in complex commercial litigation and arbitration. The position offers a dynamic opportunity for attorneys who are ready to take ownership of litigation matters, coordinate with legal teams, and act as a primary client contact. Prior experience in managed care or healthcare litigation is strongly preferred.

Location:

  • Los Angeles, California

Duties:

  • Handle a range of complex commercial litigation and arbitration matters

  • Serve as lead associate on litigation cases, managing workstreams and timelines

  • Coordinate with junior associates, paralegals, and support staff

  • Act as a point of contact for clients, maintaining strong communication and service

  • Develop case strategies, draft pleadings, and manage discovery

  • Represent clients in hearings, depositions, and arbitration proceedings

  • Support business development and client relationship efforts

Requirements:

  • 3 to 5 years of complex commercial litigation and arbitration experience

  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple cases independently

  • Experience coordinating litigation teams and working closely with clients

  • Managed care or healthcare-related litigation experience preferred

  • Must be an active member of the California State Bar

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (.) from an accredited law school

  • Strong academic record required

Certifications:

  • Admission to practice law in California (active status)

Skills:

  • Excellent legal research, writing, and analytical skills

  • Strong case and project management abilities

  • Effective team collaboration and leadership

  • Outstanding communication and client service skills

  • Familiarity with arbitration and healthcare litigation procedures
