Job Overview:
A Salem-based law firm is currently expanding its estate planning and probate practice and seeks a dedicated associate attorney to support this growth. Duties:

  • Advise individuals and families on estate planning strategies, probate procedures, and trust administration

  • Draft and review legal documents such as wills, trusts, powers of attorney, and advance directives

  • Represent clients in court for probate matters and related hearings

  • Conduct legal research and draft memoranda to support case strategy and planning

  • Collaborate with attorneys and legal support staff to deliver high-quality service

  • Maintain organized case files and track deadlines using firm tools

  • Meet regularly with clients in person to build trust and deliver tailored advice

Requirements:

  • 1-3 years of legal experience in estate planning and/or probate

  • Licensed to practice law in the state of Oregon

  • Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with clients and colleagues

  • Strong attention to detail, organization, and follow-through

  • Professional demeanor with a client-first mindset

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an ABA-accredited law school

Certifications:

  • Active member of the Oregon State Bar

Skills:

  • Strong legal writing and research abilities

  • Fluency in English; Spanish language skills preferred

  • Ability to manage multiple matters simultaneously

  • Comfortable engaging with clients in person regularly

  • Committed to ethical legal practice and community service
