Intellectual Property Litigation Associate Attorney - Join the Law Firm of Sheridan Ross .

Position Summary:

Sheridan Ross . is seeking an experienced Litigation Associate to join our Intellectual Property and Commercial Litigation Practice Group. In this role, you will be responsible for handling complex commercial disputes involving intellectual property, securities, contracts, and anticompetitive conduct. The ideal candidate will have 4-8 years of litigation experience, excellent academic credentials, and a strong commitment to litigation and trial work. A technical background and prior federal clerkship are preferred, as well as admittance to the USPTO bar. This position is based in our Denver office, but candidates do not need to be located in Colorado. We are looking for motivated self-starters with exceptional communication and writing skills, a dedication to excellence, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced trial practice.

Essential Functions:

- Compiling, organizing, and analyzing discovery in document-intensive cases
- Drafting discovery and dispositive motions, Federal Circuit and Markman briefs, and other related litigation documents
- Managing all aspects of discovery, including conducting interviews and gathering ESI (experience with eDiscovery tools such as Relativity is preferred)
- Preparing for and attending depositions and court proceedings
- Providing strategic litigation and risk management advice to clients
- Assisting in trial preparation and attendance

Job Requirements:

- Familiarity with ESI protocols and tools
- Experience drafting correspondence, motions, and other written products
- A commitment to a minimum of 1750 billable hours annually
- Dedication to litigation and/or trial practice

Education:

- Bachelor's degree
- Juris Doctor from an ABA-accredited law school

Experience:

- 4-8 years of experience in intellectual property litigation, with a preference for patent litigation
- Prior federal clerkship with a United States District Court or Circuit Court (preferred)
- Experience with ESI protocols and tools
- Experience supporting or taking depositions
- Experience leading the composition of dispositive motions

Other Requirements:

- Law Review/Law Journal or Moot Court experience

Base Salary Range: $150,000-$180,000 with a 1750 billing expectation
