Job Responsibilities
As a Senior Manager in the Financial Services Tax practice, the responsibilities include advising clients on local and overseas tax affairs and acting as a strategic consultant in business analysis, managing working capital, and profit sharing for partners. The role involves helping organizations understand the pricing implications of goods and services between related parties and advising on the tax implications of deals. Responsibilities also encompass navigating the frequently changing and complex national and international tax environment related to stringent capital requirements, management of operational tax risks, and tax implications of investing in different jurisdictions. Additionally, the Senior Manager is expected to develop innovative tax solutions for clients in the renewable energy sector, leveraging technology and digitization to enhance service delivery and efficiency. The role includes encouraging team participation, addressing ambiguous problems, initiating coaching conversations, anticipating stakeholder needs, and contributing technical knowledge in area of specialism. The Senior Manager is also expected to lead open conversations to build trust and uphold the company's code of ethics and business conduct.

Preferred Knowledge/Skills
The position requires in-depth knowledge of compliance and consulting for investment partnerships, including hedge funds, mutual funds, and private equity funds. Candidates should have knowledge of structuring funds and fund management companies to limit tax liability, alternative investment strategies, and vehicles, and possess in-depth tax technical skills, including partnership tax forms. Experience with complicated partnership structures, tax matters relevant to the renewable energy industry such as tax credits and fixed asset depreciation, is also important. Candidates should showcase a desire to learn more about the renewable energy industry and innovate through new and existing technologies. Experience with large, complex data sets, data visualization tools, and digitization tools to optimize engagements is preferred. The role involves advancing pricing strategy using pricing tools and influencing a shift to alternative fee arrangements. Building and maintaining networks of client relationships and community involvement, communicating value propositions, managing resource requirements, project workflow, budgets, billing and collections, and preparing complex written and verbal materials are key responsibilities. The candidate should demonstrate success as a tax technical business advisor, including developing new relationships and selling new services with a "One Firm" service mindset. Experience in automation and digitization in a professional services environment, including supervising teams, seeking diverse views, and coaching staff, is also desirable.

Salary Information
The salary range for this position is $124,000 - $335,000, with eligibility for an annual discretionary bonus. For roles based in Maryland, this is the listed salary range for the position. Actual compensation within the range will depend on the individual's skills, experience, qualifications, location, and applicable employment laws.
