Job Title: Tax Senior - Real Estate
Job Responsibilities:
- As a Senior Tax Consultant, you will work within an engagement team, utilizing your accounting and taxation experience to provide tax compliance and consulting services to investment management clients.
- Identify complex tax issues and provide tax analysis for various entities and their affiliates.
- Perform detailed-level reviews of partnership work papers, allocations, and tax returns.
- Prepare materials and conduct research for consulting projects related to tax planning opportunities.
- Coordinate and communicate with client contacts to gather necessary information for tax return completion.
- Train, mentor, and supervise new and experienced-level tax staff.
- Attend required company and sector-specific trainings.
Education and Experience Information:
- Required:
- Ability to perform job responsibilities within a hybrid work model, requiring US Tax professionals to co-locate in person 2-3 days per week.
- 3+ years of experience providing tax planning services or preparing client work papers and income tax returns.
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or another business-related field.
- Basic understanding of Subchapter K, partnership allocation methodologies, and the tax compliance process for real estate funds.
- Experience working in a fast-paced, team environment.
- Ability to travel up to 25%, on average, based on the work you do and the clients and industries/sectors you serve.
- One of the following active accreditations obtained, or in process, or must be able and willing to obtain:
- Licensed CPA in state of practice/primary office if eligible to sit for the CPA.
- If not CPA eligible:
- Licensed attorney
- Enrolled Agent
- Certifications:
- Chartered Financial Advisor (CFA)
- Certified Financial Planner (CFP)
- Preferred:
- Advanced degree such as Masters of Tax, JD, and/or LLM.
- Experience working in a virtual and/or global environment.
- Passion for leveraging technology and exploring new technology solutions.
- Experience with accounting for income taxes in accordance to ASC740.
- Previous Big 4 or large CPA firm experience.
- Excellent research and writing skills.
- Excellent presentation and communications skills.
Salary Information:
- The wage range for this role considers a wide range of factors including skill sets, experience and training, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs.
- The disclosed range is $66,570 to $151,580.
- Participation in a discretionary annual incentive program may be available, subject to the rules governing the program, with awards based on individual and organizational performance.
