A well-established plaintiff-side law firm in Long Beach, California is seeking a Litigation Associate Attorney with 3–5 years of experience to join its team. The firm specializes in employment law, consumer and employment class actions, and Private Attorney General Act (PAGA) litigation. Location:

  • Long Beach, CA

Duties:

  • Evaluate case facts in relation to relevant statutes and case law to develop legal strategies

  • Draft legal documents including memoranda, briefs, pleadings, and motions

  • Draft and respond to written discovery requests

  • Take and defend depositions

  • Prepare for and present oral arguments in motion practice

  • Participate in hearings, mediations, arbitrations, and trials

  • Engage in trial preparation, including evidence review and witness coordination

  • Maintain professional communication with clients, opposing counsel, and internal team members

  • Manage a litigation caseload with support from senior attorneys, maintaining appropriate timelines and client expectations

Requirements:

  • 3–5 years of litigation experience, preferably in employment law or class action cases

  • Demonstrated experience handling discovery, depositions, and motion practice

  • Experience in trial preparation and courtroom appearances

  • Commitment to client advocacy and social justice

  • Ability to manage multiple deadlines and balance competing priorities

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an ABA-accredited law school

Certifications:

  • Active license to practice law in California (required)

Skills:

  • Strong legal research and writing skills

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

  • Analytical thinking and attention to detail

  • Knowledge of California employment laws and class action procedures

  • Ability to work independently while contributing to a team environment

  • Organizational and time-management skills in handling complex litigation
