Experience and Qualifications:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience practicing criminal law
- Licensed to practice law in the state of Alaska
- Strong knowledge of criminal law and procedures

Responsibilities:
- Provide legal representation to clients in criminal cases at all levels, including CINA and appellate cases
- Conduct legal research and prepare legal documents, including motions, briefs, and appeals
- Interview clients and witnesses and gather evidence to build a strong defense case
- Attend court hearings and trials, and advocate for clients in front of judges and juries
- Collaborate with other attorneys and staff within the **Members Only** to provide the best defense for clients

Salary and Benefits:
- Competitive hourly rate of $175/hour
- Flat fee case contracts with increased case caps:
- U felonies - $25,000 flat or $175/hour with a $30,000 cap
- A felonies - $9,000 flat or $175/hour with a $14,000 cap
- Sex felonies – $10,000 flat or $175/hour with a $15,000 cap
- B felonies - $7,000 flat or $175/hour with a $12,000 cap
- C felonies - $4500 flat or $175/hour with a $10,000 cap
- Support for ancillary services such as expert witnesses, travel expenses, and transcripts
