Job Title: Principal Law Clerk to Judge

Duties and Responsibilities:
- Conduct extensive research and analysis of complex legal issues for individual judges
- Provide personal and confidential assistance to the assigned judge(s)
- Draft legal documents, opinions, decisions, orders, and correspondence
- Review and verify citations and legal documents filed in court
- Advise the judge(s) on legal matters and participate in conferences with attorneys and other parties involved in legal proceedings
Qualifications:
- Admission to the New York State Bar
- Two (2) years of service as an Associate Law Clerk to Judge OR five (5) years of relevant legal experience, including up to 18 months of pre-admission experience
