Duties
- Provide legal counsel on new and existing laws and legal rights.
- Develop relationships and partnerships with all departments.
- Conduct risk management and address critical issues.
- Draft, manage, and negotiate vendor contracts.
- Oversee litigation, investigations, and insurance coverages.
- Interpret and implement state and federal laws and policies.
- Develop and review firm regulations and policies.
- Research laws and regulations affecting the firm.
- Maintain a team-oriented and positive attitude.
Requirements
- Licensed and in good standing with the California State Bar.
- Minimum of 7-10 years as in-house or general counsel.
- Proven ethical standards and sound judgment.
- Experience advising executive management teams.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills.
- Outstanding negotiation and research skills.
- Experience in personal injury is a plus.
Education
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
Certifications
- Active California State Bar license.
