A law firm seeks a highly skilled and experienced Real Estate Partner to join a fully remote, dynamic legal practice. The ideal candidate will have at least 8 years of experience handling complex commercial real estate transactions, with expertise across development, acquisitions, financing, and leasing. A portable client base generating at least $250,000 annually is required. This is an exceptional opportunity for a self-driven attorney with a focus on business-oriented legal services in the real estate sector.

Duties:

  • Lead and manage high-level commercial real estate transactions, including acquisitions, dispositions, and financing arrangements.
  • Advise clients on various real estate matters, such as development projects, commercial leasing (office and retail), and property management agreements.
  • Oversee and advise on transactions related to multi-family, hotel, and apartment properties, as well as Real Estate Investment Trusts (REITs).
  • Handle joint venture investments, debt restructurings, and workouts in real estate deals.
  • Provide strategic legal counsel regarding complex commercial real estate matters, including lending (construction, acquisition, and permanent loans).
  • Draft, review, and negotiate key real estate agreements, including purchase and sale agreements, financing documents, and leasing contracts.
  • Maintain and grow a portable client base, with a focus on delivering high-quality, business-focused legal services.

Requirements:

  • A minimum of 8 years of experience in commercial real estate law, particularly in development, acquisitions, financing, and leasing.
  • A proven track record of managing and leading real estate transactions from inception to closing.
  • Experience working at an AmLaw 200 firm or an equivalent prestigious law firm is strongly preferred.
  • A self-sustaining portable client base generating at least $250,000 in annual revenue, or a demonstrated business development plan with strong potential for growth.
  • Extensive knowledge of the real estate market, including joint ventures, REITs, and debt restructuring in the real estate context.
  • Strong business acumen and the ability to advise clients with a focus on their overall business goals.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Active bar membership in at least one . state (preferably Colorado).

Skills:

  • In-depth expertise in complex commercial real estate transactions, including acquisitions, dispositions, and financings.
  • Exceptional negotiation and drafting skills for high-stakes real estate deals.
  • Ability to manage large, complex transactions and provide strategic advice to clients.
  • Strong client relationship management, with a focus on business-oriented legal advice and solutions.
  • Ability to thrive in a fully remote, flexible work environment, maintaining high performance and client satisfaction.
  • Self-motivated and entrepreneurial, with a demonstrated capacity to develop and sustain a portable book of business.
