Job Overview

A law firm seeks a skilled and driven Litigation Associate Attorney to join its legal team in Orange County. This role offers an exciting opportunity to engage in complex litigation matters across multiple practice areas. Duties

  • Handle diverse litigation matters, including:

    • Personal Injury: Representing clients in cases involving bodily harm, motor vehicle accidents, and premises liability.

    • Habitability: Defending property owners and landlords against claims of unlivable conditions.

    • Product Liability: Managing cases involving alleged defects or hazardous products.

    • Transportation Law: Addressing legal matters related to commercial transportation and regulatory compliance.

    • Premises Liability: Defending clients against claims stemming from unsafe property conditions.

  • Conduct in-depth legal research and draft key legal documents such as motions, pleadings, and briefs.

  • Review and assess case materials for relevancy and privilege.

  • Assist in all phases of litigation, including discovery and motion practice.

  • Represent clients in court proceedings, settlement negotiations, mediation, and trial preparation.

  • Prepare exhibits and evidence for depositions, hearings, and trials.

  • Communicate effectively with clients, opposing counsel, and court personnel.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in litigation or related practice areas.

  • Proficiency in legal research and case analysis.

  • Strong written and verbal advocacy skills.

  • Ability to manage multiple cases simultaneously and meet deadlines.

  • Knowledge of civil procedure, court filing requirements, and litigation strategy.

  • Demonstrated ability to work independently while collaborating within a team.

  • Willingness to travel as needed.

Education

  • Juris Doctor (.) degree from an ABA-accredited law school.

Certifications

  • Active California State Bar membership in good standing.
