Job Title: Financial Services Tax - Real Estate Director
Job Responsibilities:
A career in the Financial Services Tax practice within the Corporate Tax services offers a unique opportunity to assist clients in navigating and meeting their tax obligations while also managing the tax impact on their business operations. As a Director, you will:
- Act as a strategic consultant for clients concerning business analysis, managing working capital, and profit sharing.
- Advise clients on local and international tax affairs and provide insights into the pricing implications of goods and services between related entities.
- Address the challenges of investing in various jurisdictions and help clients structure their taxes efficiently within a frequently changing national and international tax landscape.
- Support your team to innovate, improve, and evolve working methods as required.
- Arrange and sponsor assignments that aid in realizing people's potential and support their long-term goals.
- Identify market gaps and opportunities to develop value propositions.
- Create environments where people and technology collaborate effectively.
- Promote and value diversity within teams and drive the creation of long-term, value-adding relationships for the company.
- Uphold the company's code of ethics and business conduct.
Additional responsibilities include leading as technology-enabled tax advisors who enhance value through digitization, automation, and heightened efficiencies, equipping professionals to manage faster and more complex transactions.
Education and Experience Information:
- Minimum Degree Required: Bachelor Degree
- Required Fields of Study: Accounting
- Minimum Years of Experience: 6 years
- Certification(s) Required: CPA, Member of the Bar, or other tax, technology, or finance-specific credentials may qualify for this opportunity.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Extensive knowledge of tax compliance methods, strategy consulting for Real Estate Investment Trusts (REITs), and Real Estate Partnerships.
- Thorough understanding of partnership structures and their impact on real estate transactions and tax liabilities.
- Considerable knowledge of accounting for Unrelated Business Taxable Income.
- Extensive technical skills in providing full services to real estate owners, developers, and investors, including REITs, institutional real estate funds, and privately held entities.
- Experience in identifying and addressing client needs, developing and sustaining deep client relationships, and preparing complex written and verbal materials.
- Proven experience as a tax technical team leader, generating new business, proposal writing, and delivery.
- Experience utilizing a CRM system for networking, relationship development, and service selling.
- Professional services environment experience leveraging automation and digitization, including working with large data sets, building models, and utilizing data visualization tools.
Salary Information:
The salary range for this position is $140,900 - $434,000, with eligibility for an annual discretionary bonus. The actual compensation within this range will depend on the individual's skills, experience, qualifications, location, and applicable employment laws.
