Job Title: Senior Director, Technical Program Management, Data Center/Power Planning
Job Responsibilities:
- Lead a resource portfolio to maximize scale, accelerate business results, increase capabilities, and enable the growth of **Members Only** Cloud and Core businesses.
- Collaborate with leaders from Integrated Planning, Cloud Supply Chain Management, and strategic partners across Technical Infrastructure.
- Lead a group that integrates and optimizes the work of more than a dozen teams across the company to ensure a single, well-integrated source of truth for demand.
- Work with deep technical teams to identify and prioritize opportunities to streamline capability delivery for faster company growth.
- Lead engineering and operations teams managing demand and capacity across products and locations worldwide.
- Align finance, sales, operations, product, and engineering teams to a converged understanding of long-range growth plans through planning execution.
- Drive improvements in product efficiency and consistent performance to product operating service levels.
- Lead critical initiatives around forecasting, demand and capacity planning improvements, and improving fungibility and capacity management systems.
- Drive product improvements to enhance efficient fleet utilization.
- Deliver large-scale engineering and operations improvements and influence cross-functional partners.
- Lead strategic reviews with executives.
- Develop and advocate for a forward-thinking, long-range strategy for global data center space and power planning.
- Anticipate future technological advancements, especially in Machine Learning (ML).
- Lead the shift from traditional machine-based planning to a Spatial model and from busy power to measured power.
- Define and articulate strategic direction for planning power in the era of advanced ML/AI.
- Drive execution of all long-range data center and power capacity plans to meet scaling requirements.
- Oversee operational execution of space and power allocation, ensuring optimal utilization and efficiency.
- Lead initiatives to optimize existing data center and power resources, maximizing capacity and efficiency.
- Develop and implement strategies for harvesting underutilized space and power, deferring or minimizing new capital investments.
Education and Experience Information:
- Minimum qualifications include a Bachelor's degree in Policy, Law, Economics, Engineering, Business, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- 15 years of experience in data center planning, power infrastructure, and capacity management.
- 10 years of leadership experience in the public or private sector, with energy markets, technologies, and regulatory frameworks.
- Experience with infrastructure, generation, capacity, allocation, transmission, energy markets, renewable energy technologies, and environmental regulations.
- Preferred qualifications include a Master's degree in Policy, Law, Economics, Engineering, Business, or a related field, or an MBA.
Salary Information:
- The US base salary range for this full-time position is $320,000-$445,000 plus bonus, equity, and benefits.
- Salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
