A law firm located in Los Angeles, CA, is in search of a Senior Litigation Attorney with a robust background in civil litigation, particularly within the realms of employment and business law. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a strong commitment to their work, exceptional research and writing capabilities, and the proficiency to manage their cases from initial intake to courtroom trial. This position offers an opportunity to assist businesses in navigating complex legal challenges while developing comprehensive strategies for success.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Independently manage all facets of litigation and arbitration, including but not limited to drafting legal complaints, conducting discovery, representing clients in court, and facilitating mediation sessions.
  • Provide legal counsel to businesses in the establishment of their organizational structures, policies, objectives, and operational procedures.
  • Ensure businesses are fully informed of applicable laws and potential outcomes affecting their operations.
  • Conduct thorough legal research and analysis to resolve disputes, including argument development and evidence collection, ensuring zealous representation.
  • Prepare, review, and file all necessary legal documents pertinent to business operations and compliance.
  • Identify and report any emerging or existing legal issues to relevant authorities, providing proactive solutions.
  • Negotiate terms of contracts, transactions, and settlements on behalf of clients, with a focus on mergers and acquisitions.
  • Oversee multiple client engagements, managing various cases and legal matters with distinct deadlines and requirements.
  • Exhibit outstanding communication abilities to foster effective collaboration with colleagues and maintain client relationships.
  • Develop strategic litigation plans and lead caseloads through trial while demonstrating adaptability to embrace new and challenging tasks.

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in civil litigation, with a strong emphasis on employment and business law.
  • Must be admitted to the California State Bar.
  • Proven track record of managing litigation from start to finish, including trial experience.
  • Excellent analytical and organizational skills to manage complex legal matters and multiple clients simultaneously.
