A law firm based in Atlanta, GA, is seeking an Employment Litigation Attorney to join its team. Location:

Duties:

  • Draft pleadings, motions, briefs, agency responses, memos, and case status updates.
  • Handle discovery, including drafting and responding to requests.
  • Take and defend depositions.
  • Represent clients in court proceedings, mediations, and administrative hearings.
  • Assist in conducting workplace investigations.
  • Supervise and delegate tasks to paralegals, law clerks, and legal assistants.
  • Contribute to business development, marketing efforts, and administrative activities.
  • Input billable time daily.

Requirements:

  • Valid license to practice law in Georgia.
  • Minimum of two years of civil litigation experience, preferably with a focus on employment law and federal court experience.
  • Strong interest in delivering high-quality work for business clients, including in-house counsel.
  • Experience engaging in networking activities to enhance the firm’s and team’s reputation.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to establish rapport with team members at various levels.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively and meet deadlines.
  • Eagerness to participate in business development initiatives.
  • Ability to thrive in a flexible, autonomous, and accountable small firm setting.
  • Strong desire to learn and grow within a collaborative, hands-on environment.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (.) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Active license to practice law in Georgia.

Skills:

  • Civil litigation experience, including employment law.
  • Federal court litigation experience preferred.
  • Excellent legal writing and drafting skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
  • Strong business development and networking capabilities.
