Job Title: Partnership Tax SALT Senior Manager
Job Responsibilities:
- Lead large projects and innovate processes to maintain operational excellence.
- Perform state and local tax return reviews and finalize compliance tasks.
- Interact with clients at a senior level to drive project success.
- Coordinate with other departments to prepare, review, and analyze reports necessary for tax return preparation.
- Ensure effective fulfillment of compliance tasks.
- Communicate effectively to secure overall success.
- Analyze reports to assist in the preparation of the Firm's tax returns.
- Manage and motivate teams, fostering a high-performing, diverse, and inclusive environment.
- Apply systems thinking to identify underlying problems and/or opportunities.
- Validate outcomes with clients, share alternative perspectives, and act on client feedback.
- Direct the team through complexity, demonstrating composure through ambiguous, challenging, and uncertain situations.
- Initiate open and honest coaching conversations at all levels.
- Make difficult decisions and take action to resolve issues hindering team effectiveness.
- Model and reinforce professional and technical standards, the Firm's code of conduct, and independence requirements.
Education and Experience Information:
- Required: Bachelor's Degree.
- Preferred: Master's Degree in Accounting, Finance.
- Required: 6 years of experience.
- Preferred: CPA, EA, or Member of the Bar.
- Experience in performing state and local tax return reviews, monitoring tax compliance requirements, conducting tax research, and solving complex issues.
- Proficiency in working with financial statements and journal entries.
- Understanding of financial systems and business processes.
- Experience coordinating with other departments for tax preparation.
- Ability to innovate through new and existing technologies.
Salary Information:
The salary range for this position is $89,000 - $315,000, with eligibility for an annual discretionary bonus. Actual compensation within the range will depend on the individual's skills, experience, qualifications, location, and applicable employment laws. The salary range listed is specifically for roles based in Maryland.
