Civil Litigation Attorney, Personal Injury Defense - $90,000-$120,000 per year
Applied Underwriters, a global insurance company, is seeking an experienced Civil Litigation Attorney with a focus on Personal Injury Defense to join their in-house legal team in Woodland Hills, California. This is a great opportunity for a skilled attorney to work for a reputable company and gain valuable experience in the insurance industry.
The ideal candidate for this position will have a current membership with the California State Bar and a . from an accredited law school. They should also have at least three years of experience as a Personal Injury Defense Attorney, with a strong background in case management, witness interviewing, written discovery, depositions, and client communication. Experience with law and motion, including discovery and dispositive motions, is also required.
In addition to these qualifications, the candidate must be willing to travel and provide a writing sample as part of the application process. The salary for this position is between $90,000 and $120,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.
Responsibilities for this position include:
- Case management, including interviewing witnesses and preparing written discovery
- Conducting depositions of lay and expert witnesses
- Defending clients at depositions, mediation, and settlement conferences
- Communicating with and responding to clients and adjusters
- Experience with law and motion, including discovery and dispositive motions
- Willingness to travel as needed
- Submitting a writing sample as part of the application process
