To support their operations in North America, United Grinding is seeking an Associate Counsel to join their team at the corporate headquarters in Miamisburg, Ohio.
As an Associate Counsel, you will play a crucial role in supporting United Grinding North America in a highly international context. Working closely with various departments, you will be responsible for handling a wide range of legal and compliance matters. This includes drafting, reviewing, and negotiating commercial contracts related to sourcing activities and the manufacture, supply, and distribution of products. You will also advise the business on all legal matters and develop pragmatic solutions to legal issues across all areas of the company.
In addition, you will be responsible for handling disputes, litigation, and investigations, and overseeing legal defense actions in disputes with suppliers and customers. This may involve managing external lawyers as needed. You will also be involved in corporate law and corporate secretary matters, as well as supporting integration activities arising from recent M&A transactions.
To be considered for this role, you must have a Juris Doctorate and 1-4 years of post-qualification experience in a law firm or in the legal department of a multinational company. You should also have a strong background in drafting and negotiating commercial contracts. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills are essential, as well as a willingness to travel.
