Job Title: Tax Manager - Real Estate Tax (West Region Office Locations)

Salary Range: $104,160 to $193,440 per year

Position Summary:
- Seeking a strategic and creative federal tax professional with experience in real estate, specifically Subchapter K, partnership allocation methodologies, and Real Estate Investment Trust qualification rules.
- Opportunity to develop and pursue creative strategies using the latest tax technologies in the real estate industry to serve clients.
- The Tax Manager will provide compliance and consulting services to Real Estate Investment Trusts, Real Estate Private Equity Funds, and real estate joint ventures and operating partnerships.

- Responsibilities include assisting clients with partnership life events, using proprietary technologies for tax compliance, maintaining client relationships, advising on tax issues, overseeing complex tax projects, managing workflow and team resources, and mentoring junior staff.
- Join a global leader in providing professional services to the Real Estate industry and help clients optimize their tax functions and strategy.
The Team:
- Deloitte works with clients in the Real Estate industry to address critical issues brought on by regulatory changes, competition, globalization, technology advancements, and changing customer demands.
- Clients include investment advisers and administrators from all sectors of the industry, such as investment managers, private equity, Real Estate Investment Trusts, and other real estate owners and operators.
- Business tax services range from tax planning to compliance, controversy and risk management, specialized services, and tax management consulting.
Qualifications:
Required:
- Ability to work in a hybrid model, co-locating in person 2-3 days per week.
- 5+ years of experience in corporate or international tax.
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field.
- Active accreditation, such as CPA, attorney, enrolled agent, or CFA/CFP.
- Ability to travel up to 25% based on work and clients served.
Preferred:
- Advanced degree, such as Masters of Tax, JD, or LLM.
- Previous Big 4 or large CPA firm experience.
- Strong communication and research skills.
- Self-starter with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Solid understanding of real estate tax technical and transaction skills.
Salary Information:
- Wage range takes into account factors such as skill sets, experience, training, licensure/certifications, and business needs.
- Range estimate is $104,160 to $193,440 per year.
- May be eligible for a discretionary annual incentive program.
