Job Responsibilities:
- Draft, review, and negotiate a variety of commercial contracts related to EV charging, renewable energy development, and the company's solutions-based business lines, including engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC), technology, and procurement contracts.
- Stay informed about regulatory developments and changes in the energy, solar, and mobility sectors to ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
- Provide advice on legal risks associated with business initiatives and propose risk mitigation strategies.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure legal considerations are integrated into business decisions.
- Manage relationships with external counsel when necessary, ensuring effective and efficient legal support.
- Participate in the development and delivery of legal training programs to internal stakeholders.
- Develop scalable processes for legal review of new products and services.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Education and Experience Information:
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school and a valid license to practice law in the relevant jurisdiction.
- A minimum of 7 years of experience practicing corporate or commercial law, with a strong focus on the energy, solar, and mobility sectors.
- Knowledge of energy regulations, solar incentives, and mobility industry regulations.
- Proven experience in drafting and negotiating complex commercial agreements specific to the mobility, energy, and solar industries, and the company's solutions-based business lines.
- Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills to provide creative legal solutions to complex issues.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, for effective interaction with internal teams, external partners, and regulatory bodies.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively, managing multiple projects and priorities effectively.
- Flexibility to respond quickly and positively to shifting demands and opportunities.
- Capable of working under tight deadlines, handling multiple detailed tasks simultaneously, prioritizing appropriately, and delegating to available resources.
- Strong PC skills with Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
Salary Information:
- Hiring Salary Range: $187,000 - $234,000.
- Salary and total compensation package (bonus target & LTI) will be determined based on the candidate’s location, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data.
