Job Overview:
A law firm located in Irvine, CA, is seeking an Associate Defense Attorney with 1-5 years of experience in Toxic Tort matters. Duties:

  • Handle written discovery, motion work, depositions, and court hearings in asbestos, toxic tort, and/or product liability cases.

  • Represent clients in various legal proceedings, providing legal support and expert guidance.

  • Conduct legal research and draft motions, pleadings, and other legal documents.

  • Collaborate with senior attorneys and other team members to develop case strategies.

  • Make in-person court appearances as required.

Requirements:

  • Must be admitted to the State Bar of California and reside in California.

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an ABA-accredited law school.

  • 1-5 years of experience in toxic tort, asbestos, or product liability matters preferred.

  • Strong legal research, writing, and communication skills.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

  • Willingness to make in-person appearances for hearings and court proceedings when necessary.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an ABA-accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Active membership in the State Bar of California.

Skills:

  • Legal research and analysis

  • Drafting motions, pleadings, and legal documents

  • Courtroom and deposition experience (preferred)

  • Strong communication skills

  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
