Job Title: Tax Manager - Credits & Incentives

Job Responsibilities:
As a Tax Manager in the Global Investment and Innovation Incentives (Gi3) practice, the primary responsibilities include identifying eligible federal credits and incentives (C&I) generating activities and managing the analysis and documentation of such opportunities. The role involves collaborating with colleagues across various departments to provide comprehensive tax incentive services. The manager is responsible for ensuring accurate and timely completion of deliverables, monitoring current and proposed tax legislation, and implementing client outreach strategies. Specific duties include:

- Managing federal credits and incentives opportunities, including Research and Development tax credit/deduction analyses, New Markets Tax Credit, Qualified Opportunity Zones, Sustainability and Renewable Energy tax credits, and other federal credit incentive service offerings.
- Delivering value to clients by identifying opportunities and advising on potential benefits and eligibility requirements.
- Maintaining and developing strong internal and client relationships.
- Leveraging extensive technical skills to solve complex issues.
- Demonstrating sound judgment and instincts in evaluating complex scenarios involving various credits and incentives opportunities.
- Developing, mentoring, and motivating consultants and senior consultants, providing counseling and career guidance.
- Identifying potential issues and proposing solutions to leadership, as well as implementing process improvement strategies.
- Ensuring accurate and timely delivery of engagement deliverables, including presentation decks, executive summaries, credit calculations, completed tax forms, supporting files, memoranda, and IRS audit responses.
- Monitoring legislative and regulatory tax developments and working with the team to present potential opportunities to assist clients.

Education and Experience Information:
The position requires a bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, engineering, technology, or a related field, with a minimum of 5 years of experience in a related field. Candidates should have proven knowledge of R&D tax incentives experience and/or experience with New Markets Tax Credits, Qualified Opportunity Zones, or Renewable Energy tax credits. Additional qualifications include:

- Ability to perform job responsibilities within a hybrid work model, requiring US Tax professionals to co-locate in person 2 – 3 days per week.
- Ability to travel up to 25%, based on work and client needs.
- Strong organizational and time management skills with a demonstrated ability to work independently and manage multiple, competing priorities.
- One of the following active accreditations: Licensed CPA in the state of practice/primary office if eligible to sit for the CPA, Licensed attorney, Enrolled Agent, or PE (Professional Engineer).

Preferred qualifications include an advanced degree such as MST, LLM, or JD, experience with tax technical research, experience with Federal or State and Local C&I, experience with sustainability technologies or environmental sciences, Big 4 experience or large CPA or law firm experience, demonstrated analytical and research skills, effective verbal and written communication skills, proven leadership skills, and demonstrated ability to collaborate and proactively develop internal and external working relationships.

Salary Information:
The wage range for this role considers a wide range of factors, including skill sets, experience, training, licensure, certifications, and other business and organizational needs. The estimated current range is $89,180 to $203,060. Candidates may also be eligible to participate in a discretionary annual incentive program, subject to the rules governing the program, with awards depending on individual and organizational performance.
