- Paid internships offered in summer, spring, and fall sessions
- Part-time volunteer internships also available in Kentucky state offices
Intern Responsibilities:
- Assigned as legislative or press intern
- Tasks may include researching legislation, drafting constituent responses, tracking news and legislation, assisting with press events, and drafting press releases
- Other daily office duties such as mail sorting, copying, and answering phones
Qualifications and Selection:
- Strong scholastic and extracurricular achievements preferred
- Interest in the governmental process
Deadlines:
- Summer Session: February 1
- Fall Session: June 30
- Spring Session: October 2
Washington Interns:
- Unique opportunities such as attending seminars and special tours of the White House and Capitol
- Goal to introduce students to Congress and events in Washington .
- Responsible for own housing, living, and travel expenses
