Job Title: Tax SAP Global Trade Services Manager
Job Responsibilities:
As a practitioner within the company's Global Trade Advisory Practice, the Tax SAP Global Trade Services Manager will help clients maximize their SAP investments and prepare businesses for the digital economy. The role involves working with industry-leading clients and involves delivering complex projects in a fast-paced, team environment. Key responsibilities include:
- Leading and assisting Customer and Sales Operations pursuits and practice development initiatives.
- Promoting and participating in forums for sharing expertise, strengthening the company's collective knowledge, and helping resolve clients' challenges.
- Collaborating on innovative solutions to bolster the future of the practice.
- Developing knowledge of and gaining project experience in SAP's newest and future solutions, such as SAP S/4 and SAP GTS, Edition for HANA.
- Performing assessments of existing information systems and identifying gaps between business requirements and current process/system capabilities during workshop sessions with business users.
- Working with clients to assess and deploy technology solutions to enable international trade management operations.
- Providing planning and compliance assistance and exploring automated import and export solutions.
- Developing customized solutions and drafting functional design documentation utilizing strong skills in logical thinking, decision making, problem-solving, and attention to detail.
- Supporting new business processes around global trade and other areas such as supply chain and other key functions.
- Delivering and providing implementation support for complex projects in a fast-paced, team environment.
- Contributing to the development and growth of the SAP GTS practice globally.
Education and Experience Information:
Required qualifications for the position include:
- Ability to perform job responsibilities within a hybrid work model that requires US Tax professionals to co-locate in person 2-3 days per week.
- Minimum of 5 years' relevant SAP consulting or industry experience.
- Experience implementing one or more of the following SAP GTS Modules: Compliance Management, Customs Management, Trade Preference.
- Technical or functional lead on at least 2 full-lifecycle SAP implementations.
- Operational/process design awareness, executive presence, strong analytical and critical thinking skills with the ability to solve complex problems and easily communicate findings.
- Prior implementation or support work experience with SAP GTS.
- Experience with one or more SAP ECC or S/4 modules: SD, MM, LE.
- Bachelor’s degree in a legal, business, or technology-related field.
- Ability to travel up to 10% on average, depending on the work and the clients and industries/sectors served.
- Active accreditations such as Licensed CPA, Licensed attorney, Enrolled Agent, or other relevant certifications.
- Technology certifications such as CBAP, SAFe certifications, Microsoft, AWS, and others.
Preferred qualifications include:
- Education with SAP focus in areas like S/4 or ECC Sales and Distribution, Order to Cash, Procure to Pay, Material Master, Transportation Management.
- Software aptitude in PowerPoint, MS Project, Access, Excel, and/or Visio.
- Experience presenting to clients or other decision-makers.
- SAP SD/MM, S4HANA, or similar certifications.
- Knowledge of export regulations including ITAR/EAR.
- Strong research, writing, verbal communication, and project management skills.
- Ability to work with ambiguity and bring 'out of the box' solution design aligned to leading practices.
- Understanding of end-to-end processes and attention to detailed design.
- Strong team and organizational skills, ability to self-manage time and tasks.
- Ability to manage client and cross-functional team expectations.
- Technology interest, problem-solving, and awareness of cutting-edge solutions.
Salary Information:
The wage range for this role considers various factors such as skill sets, experience, training, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs. The disclosed range estimate is $108,430 to $246,870. Compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case, and it is typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role. Additionally, candidates may be eligible to participate in a discretionary annual incentive program, dependent on individual and organizational performance.
